Every boater loves to spend time on the water—but some take that passion to the next level, and practically live on the same bodies of water they boat, swim and play in!In today’s blog, we are looking at five telltale signs that prove you live

In today’s blog, we are looking at five telltale signs that prove you live on the water.

You spend the bulk of your spare time on board…

The biggest sign of a boater who lives on the water is, of course, how much time they actually spend on their boat. Look on back on your holidays, weekends and days off from work—did you spend all (or a majority of them) on the water? That’s a big indicator that you simply love the feel of cruising through your favorite ocean, lake or river—and that your Monterey is your home away from home!

…and constantly find yourself daydreaming about your next trip

If you’re a devout water lover, the occasional weekend outing just isn’t enough for you—in fact, when you’re not on the water, you’re constantly thinking about getting back out there and enjoying the thrill of your favorite water sports, fishing fun or simply a refreshing swim. You might find yourself daydreaming about your next trip (big or small), or an on-board get together with friends… when you should really be focusing on things like work or other projects.

You look forward to cleaning and repairs

If you practically live on the water, you probably even look forward to cleaning, maintenance and small repairs here and there. They’re just more ways for you to spend time with your boat! And, of course, the sooner you take care of those maintenance issues, the sooner you can get back out on the water—and that’s something to look forward to.

You’ve spent a few birthdays, anniversaries or other celebrations on board

Look back on family birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and other special celebrations. Did you spend any of them on board? If you did, that’s a sure sign that you look for any excuse or reason to get out on the water. And who could blame you? Your boat is likely already equipped with entertaining space, food storage and an entertainment system. Just add guests and the feeling of the open water, and you have an instant party on your hands.

You’re the easiest person to shop forYour friends and family may think of you as the easiest person to shop for when it comes to birthdays and holidays—because you’ll gladly receive anything boating-related. Whether it’s a gadget for your boat or casual deck attire, you’re always happy when loved ones give you the tools and toys you need for fun on the water.
