As boaters, we’re always looking for ways to make life on the water more fun, exciting and adventurous, whether it’s by trying new things or going to new places… that’s why we love the sport, after all! Whatever your must-try item is, try making a boating bucket list before getting back at it this season. Having a list specifically devoted to what we do on the water will give those weekend day trip an even greater degree of meaning and memories made.

Here are some things you can think about adding to your list:

Must-go places: Is there a destination you’ve always wanted to cruise over to on your very own Monterey? Whether it’s a tropical getaway or rugged natural nook, tack it onto your bucket list.

Timely goals: What’s the longest trip you want to have, or the earliest morning you want to start out on? Use time as a cue to form goals for your list.

Family involvement: Especially as kids get older, time the entire family can spend together is often at a premium. If your family is in need of some extra closeness, make it a bucket list goal to get the whole family together on a special trip… at least once!

Return to tradition: Is there a special spot you ventured out to as a kid with your parents? Or maybe there’s a particular beach or seaside restaurant where you met an important person? Trips back to these meaningful locations make for equally meaningful and lasting memories.

Being a good sport: Wakeboarding, paddle boarding, surfing… whatever the sport, we’ve all dreamt of ourselves getting out on the water and trying something new. Make it a point to add one of these adventurous goals to your list!
