The Lobster Box is located in City Island, New York, on the edge of Brooklyn, overlooking Long Island Sound. They are well-known for their wide variety of dishes including both steamed and baked lobster, surf and turf, King crab legs and bang-bang shrimp. There are also several celebrity inspired dishes including John Wayne’s clam bake and Frank Sinatra’s Lobster Oreganato. If you grab a bite to eat at just the right time, you just might see a celebrity or two. During the filming of City Island, Andy Garcia was a frequent diner at the restaurant. The restaurant serves lunch between the hours of 12 PM and 3 PM and opens up for dinner at 3 PM, hours are subject to change during the holidays, so make sure to call ahead if you’re dining during this time.

If you’re looking for a refreshing afternoon cocktail, the lounge at the Lobster Box is the place to be. All of their cocktails are served with fresh, hand squeezed juices. They also have a variety of award winning wines and an extensive craft beer selection.
