We’re traveling to City Island, New York to dine at the Lobster Box Restaurant for this week’s waterfront dining destination. The Lobster Box is located in City Island, New York, on the edge of Brooklyn, overlooking Long Island Sound. They are well-known for their wide variety of dishes including both steamed and baked lobster, surf and turf, King crab legs and bang-bang shrimp. There are also several celebrity inspired dishes including John Wayne’s clam bake and Frank Sinatra’s Lobster Oreganato. If you grab a bite to eat at just the right time, you just might see a celebrity or two. During the filming of City Island, Andy Garcia was a frequent diner at the restaurant. The restaurant serves lunch between the hours of 12 PM and 3 PM and opens up for dinner at 3 PM, hours are subject to change during the holidays, so make sure to call ahead if you’re dining during this time.

If you’re looking for a refreshing afternoon cocktail, the lounge at the Lobster Box is the place to be. All of their cocktails are served with fresh, hand squeezed juices. They also have a variety of award winning wines and an extensive craft beer selection.
