Coming up on May 30this the 20^th Annual South Florida Boat Show, held at the Miami Beach Convention Center http://southflaboatshow.com. Our Dealer Bob Hewe's Boats will be participating in this year’s show, so stop by and see them while you're there!

A quick two minute drive will take you to Lincoln Road, one of Miami’s premier destinations for food and shopping. Take a stroll through the outdoor mall, peek in an art exhibit, and stop for lunch at one of Lincoln’s more than 40 restaurants. Come back at night for a luxurious dinner at Carnevale Ventian Café, and check out one of the mall’s nightclubs.

If you’re not from the area, it’s easy to mentally clump all of South Florida’s activities and waterways into one—but Miami isn’t all the area has to offer! Its neighbor to the North is something special too.

Some call Fort Lauderdale the Venice of America—and for good reason. The city is home to the Fort Lauderdale Intracoastal Waterway, where yachts and other boats can travel and get a peek at some of South Florida’s prime real estate and its famous inhabitants. If this doesn’t seem fun, there’s plenty of shopping, dining, and relaxing at the beach to be done at Las Olas, which can easily be accessed from the Intracoastal.

Taking your own boat isn’t the only way to go. On Fort Lauderdale’s famous Water Taxi, you and your family can tour the entire area in a day. Tour guides offer fun and informative facts about the historic waterfront, and the Taxi makes stops at key destinations. Stop at Beach Place if you’re looking for a day of swimming, or visit the shops at Las Olas for some shopping.

No matter what route you take, or what boat you board, Miami Beach and the Fort Lauderdale Intracoastal each have something to offer everyone, from the hands-on adventurer to the souvenir-happy shopper. If you’re visiting the area for the Boat Show or just a local looking for something to do, it’s definitely a trip worth taking.
