The Kelowna Yacht Boat and Leisure Show starts next weekend in British Columbia, Canada! Summer is just around corner and it’s the perfect time to pick out a brand new boat with our dealer, Wizard Lake Marine. Keep reading our blog for a list of fun things to do in British Columbia. This year’s show kicks off on April 26^th and continues until the 27^th on the beautiful waters of Lake Okanagan. The event is free but show attendees are asked to bring a donation for the local food bank. You will also have an opportunity to purchase this season’s must have accessories for your boat, including, wakeboards, towropes and audio equipment.

After the show, bring your family over to Peak2Peak Gondola Travels for a breathtaking adventure and enjoy a delicious meal at Rim Rock Café and Oyster Bar. Both locals and tourists rave about the gondola adventure tours at Peak2Peak.  A single gondola tour travels across 4.4 kilometers in just under 11 minutes. There are two gondola options to choose from: regular and “Silver,” a gondola with a glass bottom. The lift was originally built to transport guests from Whistler’s Roadhouse Lodge to the Rendezvous Lodge on Blackcomb Mountain but has since turned into a must-see attraction. During the spring and summer, visitors can catch breathtaking views of glaciers and mountain peaks on the gondola tour and can embark on an expanded hiking trail throughout the mountains during the summer.

If you love fresh seafood, we recommend grabbing a bite to eat at Rim Rock Café and Oyster Bar, the winner of a 2013 Traveler’s Choice Award from Trip Advisor. The restaurant opens nightly at 5:45. Locals recommend ordering the seafood antipasto as an appetizer and grilled salmon with lobster mash potatoes or raw oysters for dinner. There are several different ordering options for the oysters including raw with champagne vinaigrette or Rasputin with vodka, Broiled Rockefeller with spinach and Rimrock with salmon.
