This week’s the big Lake Lanier Islands Resort In Water Boat Show! The 5^th annual event kicks off Friday at 10 AM, and will feature new boats from throughout the Southeast—including our own dealer Atlanta Marine! It's Georgia's largest in-water boat show and should not be missed.

A day at the festival can definitely work up an appetite—one option is Big Creek Tavern, located just a few minutes from Lake Lanier Islands Resort.

Big Creek, known for its comfy old-time atmosphere, offers guests relief from a long day outside; you can even park your boat on the dock! In addition to this focus on the water, you’ll have a wide variety of seafood and other traditional favorites to choose from. Try their beer-boiled shrimp, a 1 lb crab leg dinner or a plate of baby back ribs. Add these to Big Creek’s daily specials, there’s hearty choices for even the pickiest of eaters.

Did we mention there’s live entertainment? Every weekend guests have the chance to listen to on-stage music with their dinner and cold drinks.

Admission to this year’s Boat Show is free with a $10 parking fee. So enjoy the day’s festivities, then come rest your feet (and wet your palate!) at one of Buford’s best dockside restaurants.

The official times are Friday and Saturday from 10am to 8pm and on Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
