Take a step into open country with a trip to Kalispell, Montana. This rugged city holds some of the best mountain views, fresh water streams, excellent golfing, and hiking in the country.

Kalispell is a wholesome community located between Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park. Kalispell’s picturesque landscape is great for weekend getaways and lake style boating with the whole family.

The city of Kalispell is located in the Northwest area of Montana. This outdoorsmen’s paradise is not only a great place to visit, but from 2000 to 2010, Kalispell has seen a 40% increase in its residential population!

While staying in Kalispell, we recommend traveling to Glacier National Park. It’s only 25 minutes north and it’s ancient and majestic presence is like nothing you’ve ever seen before!

With over a million acres, the Glacier National Park holds some of the best wildlife, boating, and mountainous views in the Northwest area.

Being in this town is a refreshing experience from the hustle and bustle of big city living, and the lodging is even better!

Flathead Lake is a superb location for lake-house lodging. The Outlook Inn Bed and Breakfast is nestled on the northern side of Flathead Lake on seven beautiful acres. At the Outlook Inn, you can enjoy home-made breakfast, freshwater fishing, and waterfront dining right on their deck.

There are a number of music and art festivals happening right now that you can check out. The 33rd annual Whitefish Arts Festival has become a highlight for the July 4th weekend. The festival is held in the town of Whitefish; which is located just 20 minutes north of Kalispell. Many come for the great music, amazing weather and unique local vendors that offer fresh squeezed lemonade, hot donuts, oriental food, coffee, and much more.

Looking for some freshwater fishing? Flathead Lake is the premier place for boating and fishing in the area. This magnificent lake was created by Ice Age glaciers making it approximately thirty miles long and fifteen miles across at its widest point.

So get out your rods and reels and pack up the gear with the family for some great trout fishing that everyone can enjoy!
