We’re traveling to Jacksonville, Florida this weekend for the 18th Annual Southeast US Boat Show! This year’s show is being held at Metropolitan Park and Marina, April 11, 12 and 13. We’re attending this year’s show with our dealer, North Florida Yacht Sales! If you’re planning to attend the show this weekend, keep reading today’s blog for a few fun things to do afterwards.
The Southeast US Boat Show was formally known as the Jacksonville Spring Boat Show. It’s a 3-day event featuring tons of live seminars, live music and some of the worlds’ most enthusiastic boaters. Stop by to say hello to our dealer, North Florida Yacht Sales and check out our brand new boat models. The action begins this Friday, April 11 at 10 AM. More information can be found by accessing the shows’ website, http://southeastboatshow.com/ .
After the show, gather up the kids and head on over to the Jacksonville Zoo for a great family outing. There are more than 2,000 animals at the Jacksonville Zoo. On March 8th, the zoo opened a brand new, 2.5 acre exhibit, The Land of the Tigers. The exhibit features Asian small-clawed otters, Babirusa pigs, Visayan warty pigs and of course Malayan and Sumatran tigers. The zoo is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and until 6:00 PM on the weekends.
If you have worked up an appetite after attending the Southeast US Boat Show and visiting the Jacksonville Zoo, grab a bite to eat at River City Brewing Company, one of Jacksonville’s premier restaurants. The dining room overlooks the St. John's River and the skyline of downtown Jacksonville. The menu at River City Brewing Company is packed with fresh cuts of meat and steak as well as the areas freshest ingredients. We recommend the blackened shrimp tacos, drunken salmon or port braised shortribs.
We hope to see you this weekend in Jacksonville Florida at the Southeast US Boat Show. Don’t forget to say hello to our dealer, North Florida Yacht Sales and share pictures with us on Facebook.
