North Carolina Waterfront Dining: Millers

If you live near the Outerbanks in North Carolina, or are planning to take a trip there this Summer, cruise by Miller’s Waterfront Restaurant for an out of this world waterfront dining experience. The restaurant has been family owned and operated since 1982 by the Miller Family. Find out more about this great North Carolina restaurant on today’s blog.

The diningroom at Miller’s Waterfront Restaurant overlooks the Roanoke Sound in Nags Head, North Carolina. If you’re dining during daylight hours, you’ll enjoy watching windsurfers, kite-boarders, water skiiers and more in the harbor and if you’re lucky enough to be there during sundown, you’ll take in a breathtaking sunset.

Locals recommend starting with fried green tomatoes or coconut fried shrimp and ordering anyone of the restaurants fresh seafood dishes, including the sunset rockfish or flounder. There is plenty to choose from and something for everyone.

The Miller family was forced to redo the dining room in 2011 after Hurricane Irene detached the Western wall of the dining room and fell into the water during the storm. They recently finished renovations to the dining room in March of 2012.
