Famously known for their spotlight in Coca Cola’s Christmas time marketing campaigns, the polar bear is the largest land carnivore. The polar bear is native to the Arctic Circle where it hunts in spaces between the ice and water. Despite popular belief it is very rare for a polar bear to catch a seal on the land or directly in the water, it is typical for them to catch the seal as it is surfacing for air.
