All Onboard for a Cure

Have you been thinking about spending some time out on the links in Central Florida? Then we have a great opportunity for you to perfect your swing and support a good cause at the same time.

Plus, you could win a new Monterey boat!

Monterey Boats is proud to be a sponsor for the 2nd Annual Bob Altes Memorial 2-Iron Relay for Life Golf Tournament. This fundraiser is scheduled for April 28, and all proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Bob Altes was our Purchasing Director here at Monterey, who lost his battle with cancer in December 2009. Bob was also a member of our golf tournament committee, and had the vision to turn our yearly event into a fundraiser to help fight cancer. After Bob's passing we could think of no better way to honor him than with a tournament in his name. The 2-Iron is the club Bob used instead of a driver.

This year's Bob Altes Memorial 2-Iron Relay for Life Golf Tournament will be held at the Stone Creek Golf Club in Ocala, Florida. We'll have a Shot Gun Start at 8:30 a.m. and Standard 4-Person Best Ball Scramble.

Take your best shot on Hole #8. It's 152 yards, and the 'Hole in One' prize is a new 184FS Monterey Boat! The 184FS is the first model in our line up. The 7'8" beam creates a spacious cockpit and comfortable ride. The 184FS comes standard with an extended swim platform and air assist chine, making it an ideal boat for water sports, full of amenities and ready for a day on the water.

In addition, there will be plenty of exciting door prizes. Mulligans are set at 3 for $5, for use anywhere on the course. Don't miss out on the 50/50 raffle and contests for Putting, Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and Closest to the Line.

Entry fee is $50 per person, which includes continental breakfast and a BBQ lunch. You can pay using PayPal, or mail your check to Monterey Boats, Attn: Ruth Wittmann, 1579 SW 18th Street, Williston, FL, 32696.

This is sure to be a fun and fantastic charity event, so we are asking you to sign up by April 13th. A maximum of 128 golfers may sign up early, and almost 50 players are already confirmed.

Good luck to everyone. We're all onboard for a cure!
