Advances in Marine Electronics on Monterey Boats

Who would have ever thought that you could be anchored off the coast of Costa Rica in your Monterey Boat and still watch the latest episode of NCIS at its regular Tuesday time on a hi-def, flat-screen TV like you were back home in Norfolk, Va.

Such is the status of modern marine electronics for entertainment, information and navigation. The advances in electronics have made boating easier and more fun.

You may not realize it, but it hasn't been that many years that you couldn't listen to Jimmy Buffet all day on the Escape to Margaritaville channel on Sirius radio.

But more importantly GPS equipment now can help you navigate around the globe and keep you from getting lost. In the past you'd have to rely on ship-to-shore radio for all your information. Now you can get it instantly on your smart phone when you're close to shore. You can get weather alerts through NAVTEX in many areas. There also are other options for satellite communications.

Much of this advanced electronics is available on Monterey Boats models. Make sure you talk to one of our dealers about what electronics are offered and what else you might want. We offer several options and all you have to do to get them is ask.

Just as important, if there is an electronic device on your new boat you don't understand or can't operate, immediately contact your dealer. He'll be glad to help you learn how to use it so you're getting the full enjoyment of your new Monterey Boat.
