Of course, when it comes to winter weather, Miami didn’t get the memo! The so-called Magic City is bright and balmy as ever, so it’s no wonder why the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show​ is back this February with plenty of fun activities for boaters — locals and “snowbirds” alike.

Embrace Your Inner Child

For the kids and kids at heart, this year’s show will include the Progressive Experience in Pride Park — a boardwalk-themed experience held on Miami Beach (i.e., the strip of shoreline that runs between Biscayne Bay and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean).

When you’re not playing carnival games, you can explore other areas of the expansive boat show — including powerboats over at Herald Plaza back on the mainland.

Go For The Thrills

If you’re all about water sports, you’ll definitely want to check out the Nautical Ventures AquaZone: a 40,000-gallon freshwater pool where you’ll find live tests, demos, and contests revolving around the thrilling side of boating.

Bring Your Burning Questions

Whether you’re new to boating, or simply need a refresher on tricky maneuver or maintenance topic, the Miami Boat Show is the place to be! Fred’s Shed Interactive Learning Center will be on hand to help with free advice and seminars surrounding every aspect of the on-the-water experience. The Miami boating scene might seem super advanced — but when it comes down to it, you’ll discover that this lively community of boaters all started in the same place at one point! We all have questions — and fortunately, Fred’s Shed has answers.

One of our favorite parts of the Miami Boat show is the ability to get inspired by other boaters. The Magic City is one of the most innovative leaders when it comes to cruising and fishing trends — so even if you already have a Monterey Boat you love, you can keep an eye out for boating style, new water toys, and accessories that make your experience even more exciting.

Set against the backdrop of Miami’s palm-lined waterfront and big-city skyline, you’d never think that a small beach town exists just minutes (or a brief boat ride) away. South of the boat show hustle and bustle you’ll find Key Biscayne, a charming village located on a white-sand barrier island that juts into the brilliant blue of Biscayne Bay. Small coffee shops and beautiful beaches are the name of the game here, providing the perfect backdrop to a leisurely day of boating.
