Engine Features

Standard features include Joystick Control System, Docking Mode, SmartCraft Digital Throttle & Shift & Auto Yaw Control. With the Joystick Docking System you can control power and location with your fingertips. The SmartCraft Digital Throttle & Shift feature brings you instantaneous throttle and silky smooth shifting, while the Auto Yaw Control feature adjusts for wind and current influence within the limits of GPS resolution.

CAT is short for catalytic converter. Most modern engines include this feature to help reduce exhaust emission pollution.

Digital Throttle & Shift helps you save on cable maintenance and makes gear shifting smoother and more consistent.

EVC, Electronic Vehicle Control, is a multi-functional feature designed to help you plan trips and it electronically controls gear shifting and throttle controls.

With the Volvo Penta IPS Joystick, maneuvering is completely intuitive, the driver just pushes or rotates the joystick in the desired direction and the boat responds. Sophisticated and specially developed software in the EVC system transforms the driver's joystick movements into steering angles, gear shifts and throttle positions. The boat moves exactly according to the driver's intentions.

Ocean X

Ocean X features a titanium ceramic coating which is highly durable, flexible and covers the entire drive for maximum protection. The coating greatly improves corrosion resistance-up to four times more resistant-making Ocean X perfect for salt water boating. Freshwater cooling and anode saving Active Corrosion Protection are standard with the Ocean X option.

Saltwater can take its toll on marine propulsion systems. The SeaCore System from MerCruiser offers corrosion resistance and corrosion protection for the engine with features like closed-cooling, stainless steel package, freshwater flushing, MerCathode active corrosion protection, Dry-Joint exhaust system, EDP coated or stainless steel exhaust elbows and Industrial hardcoat anodized XK-360 aluminum alloy.
